Forget Aldo Raine and his Nazploitation posse, there's one exploitation hero in town now and he's called Black Dynamite. A new trailer has gone online showing Michael Jai White in ass-whupping action as the eponymous vigilante.

The blaxploitation homage/spoof sees White play an ex-CIA agent forced to return to the dark arts when an Italian mobster kills his brother and floods the streets with shonky liquor and cheap heroin. Like some kind of sexy Hong Kong Phooey, Dynamite sets about the task in a blizzard of martial arts moves and accommodating ladies, but soon uncovers a conspiracy that runs all the way to the White House.

Think Shaft meets The Parallex View rewritten by Jim Abrahams. Sony, meanwhile, are thinking sequel, as the buzz builds a movie they originally picked up at Sundance for $2m back in January. If it's as good at looks, expect - no, pray for - a franchise. There's no UK release date yet, but we'll keep you posted...
