Industry leaders celebrate the announcement of SOUNDTRACK!

The Film Agency for Wales were joined by the cream of Wales' film and music industry today, to celebrate the launch of the first ever international film and music festival for Wales.

The high profile launch reception for SOUNDTRACK, hosted by Wales' Minister for Heritage Rhodri Glyn Thomas, took place at Cardiff Bay's Norwegian Church and introduced the high profile cultural event to the calendar of the assembled audience, which included acclaimed film makers, musicians and media.

Chief Executive of the Film Agency for Wales, Peter Edwards explained what the unique event would bring to Wales, saying: "SOUNDTRACK will put the Welsh film and music industry firmly on the map. Indeed, we very much hope that this festival will have a real, tangible long-term benefit to the film and music industry in Wales. With an international audience, the content will be innovative, entertaining and appealing to the industry and public alike."
