George Harrison DirectingDV Talent are running a 2 day Shooting and Directing Course, funded by Skillset. Please see below for details.

2 DAY SHOOTING AND DIRECTING COURSE

·   At the end of this course you will have a basic overview of the crucial health and safety issues surrounding using Z1 cameras for broadcast filming.

·   You will understand how to get basic sequences and how to best shoot for the edit

·   You will understand not just HOW to use sound, white balance, exposure & focus  in manual but crucially WHEN its necessary to use them in manual and when automatic will suffice.

The 2 Day Course Includes:

Introduction to the Course -. Tutor assesses trainees level of experience and then paces the course to individual and group needs.  The course is basically designed for those at a Beginner or Intermediate level of shooting and directing.

Preparing for the Shoot Health & Safety brief, Kit

Functions of the Camera: Exposure, white balance, focus, framing, exposure, etc - theory and practical exercises & review of exercises

Single Camera Shooting - Working with presenters, contributors , Interviewing exercises, & review of Exercises

Shooting for the Edit - Bringing home useable rushes., Theory and practice, & review of exercises.

Sound and lighting - Theory and practice and review of exercises, dealing with radio mics.
